The Cultural Movement of Limassol “Epilogi” – Jeunesses Musicales Cyprus and the Association of Hungarian Choirs and Orchestras “KÓTA” announce the call for
participant choirs for the 2nd Euro-Mediterranean Youth Choral Fair “Choral Crossroads 2013 – Singing the bridges”. The project will take place between 27 and 30 September 2013, in Limassol, Cyprus and will will bring together at least 5 choirs and vocal ensembles from European and Arab countries, with over 200 participants, each of them being an Ambassador of their culture, for a combination of singing events, workshops, and presentations with focus on Euro-Arab and cross-Mediterranean dialogue, friendship, collaboration and peace.

This non-competitive choral festival held in the heart of Limassol – beautiful sea-port and resort city placed on the most south-eastern edge of EU, with huge historical heritage, will give an opportunity for meeting of different cultures and traditions, expressed not only through music, but also through cuisine, sight-seeing and architecture.

The deadline for applications is 15 March 2013. The project is done in collaboration with European Choral Association – Europa Cantat and its Central Eastern European and Mediterranean Centres, Moviment Coral Catalá, Arab Academy of Music, Jeunesses Musicales International and under the Euro-Arab Youth Music Centre.
